Uns N10276 Material is one of the most versatile metallic Hastelloy materials available in the world. It is part of an alloy group called the hastelloys. There are different grades of hastelloys such as the C276 and C22. The Hastelloy C22 Products are stronger because of the tungsten addition in the composition. The 2.4819 Material Grade has nickel, chromium, molybdenum and tungsten in the composition. This combination in the Uns N06022 Composition makes the Hastelloy resistance against pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion. Also, it makes it stronger against stress corrosion cracking. The tungsten and molybdenum component provide the Cw2m Hastelloy with good resistance against reducing agents whereas the chromium component provides oxidation resistance. The Hastelloy C22 is therefore for good to use at chloride rich environments as well as reducing acids. It could be used in hot water and steam applications where ordinary metal material would oxidize and corrode. The Hastelloy C22 Din 2.4602 is good for welding because the grain boundary formation is less. So it resists localized corrosion in the welded areas. The Hastelloy C276 Uns N10276 can be supplier in sheets, bars, plates, pipes, fittings and wires as well. Due to the higher mechanical properties, the Hastelloy C22 Material is used in cellophane manufacturing, incineration scrubber systems, chlorination systems, waste water management and in pesticide production as well.
