The difference between the 625 and the 718 alloys is that the 718 is age hardenable which means it could be hardened with use time whereas the Inconel 625 Products are matrix stiffened face centered cubic alloy make ups. The Alloy Uns N07718 is widely used in low temperature cryogenic applications as well as high temperature jet engines. It has a good toughness. The Inconel Alloy 600 is used in exhaust liners, airframes and high temperature applications such as jet engine components as well. The Alloy 600 Uns N06600 material is stronger and therefore could be used in applications like the lockwire for planes in aircraft carriers. There are different grades of the Inconel material and we supply all the variations. The Inconel Alloy 625 Lcf is of a low cycle fatigue which is used for gas turbine engine ducting and in high temperature hardware such as furnaces. The Inconel 625 Lcf Bellowshas the advantage of thermal fatigue resistance over the 2.4856 Inconel 625 alloys. Great Steel & Metals is a manufacturer and supplier of all the above mentioned materials in high qualities. Please contact us for further product details and pricing.
